Erin Clark has re-signed with the Titans through the end of the 2025 season, a clear reward for the 24-year-old's strong form since switching to forward.
Clark, who played in his 50th NRL match last week, impressed in his days as a blocker and would be in contention for a first-class place with the arrival of Sam Verrills next year.
But after demonstrating his versatility in recent weeks, Clark has quickly established himself as a key player in the Gold Coast rebuild.

"It's a great story for rugby league ... a good young star who never made it", said manager Justin Holbrook.
“So he left the game and came here for a chance and got really, really fit. Now he has become such an important part of our team.
“Especially in this role at the age of 13, where he has great ball skills and is very tough and competitive.
“He is quickly becoming a very important part of our team and I am very excited to see how much he will improve in these few years.
"It's a great story for a good young player who probably fell out of love and some things didn't work out, but he kept fighting for it.
"I'm really happy he made all 50 games and he's going to get many more."
YOUNG WEAPON DRAGONS BLOCK
The Dragons extended Talatau Amone's young gun by five-eighths through the end of the 2024 season.
Amone played every game for St George Illawarra in 2022 and was already under contract for 2023.
The 20-year-old has played in 31 NRL games and made his Test debut for Tonga in June, with further caps on the horizon ahead of the upcoming Rugby League World Cup.
"I am very proud to stay with the Dragons. It is the club and family of my city and I am very grateful for the opportunity", said Amone.
"Seeing the club believe in me to extend my time at the club definitely fills me with a lot of confidence.
"I'm looking forward to returning to the Dragons with good, consistent football."
Amone follows Blake Lawrie, Jack Bird, Jayden Sullivan, Tyrell Sloan, Michael Molo, Jaiyden Hunt and Max and Mat Feagai, who had to re-sign in the last 12 months.
"While Talatau has proven himself to be a competent NRL player over the last 18 months, there is still significant potential for improvement over the next two seasons," said Ben Haran, general manager of football for the Dragons.
TIGERS EXTEND LONG TERM SWIMMING
The Wests Tigers extended center Brent Naden through the end of the 2025 season.
Naden joined the club from the Bulldogs in May on an 18-month contract and has now been extended for a further two seasons.
The 26-year-old made his 50th NRL appearance in the Tigers Round 20 win over Brisbane and scored four tries in his final three games.
"Since my arrival earlier this year, the club have made us feel very welcome and I am delighted to be extending my stay," said Naden.
"I think there are a lot of things to look forward to in the coming years, including the new coaching structure, the center of excellence and the great young players we have at youth level."
Naden, who played for the Indigenous All Stars this year, is the third outsider in a week to extend the Tigers, alongside Starford To'a and Asu Kepaoa.
"I've been saying for some time that this club has the ability to go from strength to strength and Brent sees that too," said Wests Tigers general manager Justin Pascoe.
Naden made his NRL debut for the Panthers in 2019 and played in the 2020 Grand Final which Penrith lost to Melbourne.
THE TITANS STRENGTHEN THE PILLAR
The Titans further strengthened their backbone by signing Roosters hooker Sam Verrills to a two-year deal.
Verrills scored the first try in the 2019 Grand Finals, which the Roosters narrowly won against the Raiders.
The 23-year-old will join Manly veteran Kieran Foran on the Gold Coast from next season as the club looks to strengthen its backbone after an unforgettable 2022.
"Sam has great vision and is a real threat from this hooker position," said Titans head coach Justin Holbrook.
“He learned his trade from Origin hooker Jake Friend and has really shined in the Roosters' number 9 the last couple of seasons.
“We have great experience strengthening our backbone next year with the arrival of Kieran Foran and our key positions will be further strengthened with the arrival of Sam.
“When you add these two players to our mix of exciting young players who have come through our road programs here on the coast, like AJ Brimson, Jayden Campbell and Toby Sexton, we feel very confident in the team we are fighting to build. next year and beyond."
Verrills has played 43 games for the Roosters since making his NRL debut in 2019.
WARRIOR STORM SIGN
The Storm signed Eli Katoa after he was released from the final two years of his Warriors contract.
Meanwhile, the club also included Tui Kamikamica and Tepai Moeroa, who had club option and mutual option respectively in their 2023 contracts.
Katoa will join the club next season on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old made his NRL debut for the Warriors in 2020 and has played a total of 42 games for the club. After his rookie season, he was primed for a very bright future, but has since declined and has at times failed to break through the Warriors' top-flight squad.
But a change of scenery could be just what the second strand needs, as it joins Dragons veteran Tariq Sims as two of the new faces joining the Storm next season.
The Warriors confirmed Katoa's release on Monday.
"We understand Eli's circumstances," said CEO Cameron George.
"We really appreciate the contribution Eli has made to our club since joining the club and we wish him every success in the future."
“With so much competition for places in the back row, he hasn't had as many opportunities this year as he would have liked. We also assumed important commitments in this area for the next year.
Kamikamica will continue his career at Storm after making his debut in 2017, while Moeroa will also remain for another year after joining the club from rugby union in mid-2021.

TIGERS EXPAND TO 'A
The Wests Tigers have re-signed winger Starford To'a until the end of the 2024 season.
The 22-year-old has made 16 appearances for the resulting club since joining the Knights.
Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe signaled To'a's extension as the start of the club's recruiting drive and praised the young gun.
"It's great to have Starford suspended for the next two seasons," Pascoe said in a club statement.
"He has been given a contract extension and as a club we are delighted to have signed him."
To'a himself stated that he enjoyed his time in Leichhardt, although the results were not as expected.
"I really enjoyed my first season with the Wests Tigers, although we didn't do as well as we had hoped," said To'a.
"I think there's been a lot of positive things in our season. We've improved a lot as a group over the last few weeks and I think we'll carry that progress into the finals and into 2023."
